Henry's Majestic Announces Closure (For Now)

October 20, 2022 (DALLAS, TX) -- Fans of Henry's Majestic and Atwater Alley have until the end of the month to visit the concepts one last time. Their landlord has sold the building and they will be shuttering the concepts (temporarily) at closing on October 30. "We hope that our customers will come by and dine one last time in this amazing space over the next few weeks! Our plan is to reopen Henry's Majestic in a new location, so the hunt continues for a space! Stay tuned..." said Andrew Popp, Co-Owner of Henry's Majestic and Atwater Alley.

Henry's Majestic opened its doors in October 2014 at 4900 McKinney Ave. at Monticello in a space that all the critics called "cursed". Undaunted, the owners (of Bread Winners fame) pressed forward creating a magical space that offered diners two large bars for diners to enjoy an array of elixirs, an eclectic wine list or beers from near and far, and 24 taps in an approachable environment. The 4860 sq. foot site featured an industrial contemporary design style speckled with unique “found” items. Most impressive was the spacious dog-friendly patio where patrons have been able to enjoy an outdoor fireplace, pool table, TVs and al fresco dining in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to the Henry's Majestic space, the building also housed Atwater Alley, the concept's speakeasy accessible through an alley behind the restaurant tucked behind the dumpster. The word has since spread. For diners inside Henry's Majestic, there is also a secret entrance attached to the kitchen. The bar itself is a small but lavish nod to another era serving amazing Prohibition-esque cocktails and oysters to a festive handful of guests.
