62nd Art Ball Gala Celebrates MOMENTUM
Imaginative soiree to benefit the Dallas Museum of Art
The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is pleased to announce details for this year’s Art Ball 2024 presented by Neiman Marcus. Entitled "MOMENTUM,” this year’s fundraiser will celebrate 62 years of remarkable achievements on Saturday, April 13, 2024. This spectacular evening will take place at the DMA and feature an evening of dinner, drinks, a live auction, and an exciting afterparty. Art Ball 2024 will showcase the dynamic and forward-thinking vision of the DMA, all while honoring the legacy and impact of our beloved Museum.
Leading this year’s efforts are co-chairs Andy Smith and Paul von Wupperfeld. Both gentlemen bring their enthusiasm for helping the community and professional expertise to their role as co-chairs of Art Ball 2024.
A fifth-generation Texan, Smith is the director of Giving and Volunteering for Texas Instruments and is the executive director of the TI Foundation. von Wupperfeld is currently the public relations manager at Qorvo semiconductor, where he leads the company’s social media and press communications. Both gentlemen are passionate supporters of the Arts and have served on many Boards in our community.

Momenturm was selected as this year’s theme as it embodies the pulsating force propelling the Dallas Museum of Art forward, infusing the Dallas Arts District with a vibrant sense of energy and progression. Just as an object in motion stays in motion, the Dallas Museum of Art consistently evolves and transforms. Art Ball 2024 aims to honor the Museum's rich history while joyously celebrating the Momentum that drives us onward, ignites artistic creation, and propels us to explore the limitless possibilities the future has in store.
Tickets start at $3,500 and all proceeds of the Art Ball will directly support the DMA’s commitment to presenting diverse exhibitions, providing innovative educational and public programs, and caring for a collection of 25,000 objects—all while offering engaging access to incredible works of art.
